Adult Sunday School:  A ministry of guiding and facilitating an adult class that teaches and encourages adults in their personal walk with the Lord as well as strengthening relationships with others.  

Children’s Sunday School Teachers & Helpers (9:45 hour):  This ministry provides a class time for our youth aging from 5 to 5^th grade.  This ministry is needed, as we want to encourage our young people to come to Church.  This ministry is designed to provide a fun and friendly atmosphere for our children to learn about God.

Building Maintenance Ministry:  This ministry is responsible for the care and upkeep of our building.  If you enjoy fixing things, then this is the ministry for you. 

Board:  This is something that every member of Antioch should participate in and attend at least once a year.  They are meeting the second Thursday of the month every other month.  During this time, Church business, old and new, is discussed.  This is a great way for you to keep up to date on what is going on in the Church, behind the scenes.  Too many times there are people who do not know what is happening and what exciting things are taking place in the church.  Come to a meeting and find out.

Church Greeter & Ushers Ministry:  As John the Baptist was a forerunner of the ministry of Jesus Christ, the church greeter is a forerunner of all the other ministries in the congregation.  The attitude the greeter demonstrates in the foyer of the church is a forerunner of the ministry to be experienced in the sanctuary. 
At Antioch Christian Church there are certain characteristics that we look for in a greeter... must be filled with the Holy Spirit, loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, gentle, full of humor, goodness, and be faithful each week. 

Communion Preparation Ministry:
One of those “behind the scenes” jobs is preparing our weekly communion.  This is a vital and very important ministry and requires dedication and faithfulness.

Children’s Church Workers (10:45 hour): This ministry provides a worship experience for our youth.  We offer a time designed specifically for the youth right after praise and worship where they can go to learn more about God.  There is little to no preparation time if you desire to help with this ministry.  All lessons are prepared ahead of time and given to you several days before your scheduled time.  If you have twenty minutes that you could devote to reading through the lesson then you could serve in this ministry.

Fellowship Ministry:    
This ministry plans and orchestrates several all-church fellowship activities throughout the year.  The responsibilities range from setting tables to serving meals, washing dishes and preparing food. 

Food Ministry:  Provides meals to our church body when a need arises such as a funeral, illness, surgery, etc.

Praise & Worship:  This ministry provides support, input and guidance for our Sunday morning service.  They also organize special musical programs such as Christmas cantatas and the Easter programs.     

Communion Message & Servers:  This ministry provides communion and offering messages for the congregation during Sunday morning service.  In addition, the ministry participates in serving communion to the congregation.

Media Ministry:  Provides proper lighting and sound mix for our Sunday services.  Also works power point for praise and worship time. 

Homebound Communion:  For those unable to attend church services for health reasons, communion can be brought to you at home or in the hospital.

Women’s Ministry:  For the women of the church to promote Christian fellowship, spiritual growth and leading other women to Christ and to be of service to the Church

AWANA:  This ministry allows the churches and parents to team up through weekly programs and special events that introduce children to Christ and build a biblical foundation for faith!

Nursery:  Provides care for children under the age of 5 years old during the Sunday morning service as well as the Sunday School hour. 

Vacation Bible School:  Each summer we share the love of Jesus with lots of young people throughout the community with a three-day time of learning about Jesus.  Many, many, many opportunities to serve in a variety of areas are available.

Prayer Chain:  Provides ongoing prayer support for the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the church body.

Men’s Prayer Group:  This ministry provides an opportunity for men to come together once a week and have a time of prayer and devotion.

Family Fun Night(s):  Periodically throughout the year, we have fellowship nights where families of all shapes and sizes can come together for an evening of fun, food, games, worship, and devotion.  This ministry helps organize and prepare for those evenings. 

Assisted Living Service:  Every fourth Sunday of the month we go to the Assisted Living Center right across from the church to provide Sunday Service.  During this time we offer praise and worship and short message/devotional.  This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of some very special individuals.
